Outlook 2007

Colorizing Content in Outlook 2007

While playing around with Outlook 2007 over the weekend I found a nice way to colorize the subject lines of items in the inbox view so that I could provide a visual way of filtering content from certain users.

It's somewhat difficult to find this feature, so I thought I'd give the steps here.

  1. Select an item in your inbox in Outlook 2007
  2. From the toolbar, select View, then Arrange By, then Current View, then Customize Current View
  3. Click on the Automatic Formatting button
  4. Add a rule, say called From Keith
  5. Change the Font Color, size etc. by clicking the Font button.
