PRODUCT LAUNCH - Azaleos OneServer for Exchange 2007

We're very excited that Wednesday March 21st marks our launch of our Exchange 2007 line of appliances. Look for the press release to be available at 8am Eastern.

From the applause and feedback from those pre-briefed at our seminars in Vancouver, Calgary, and Portland over the past 6 weeks we anticipate these announcements to be well received by the IT community --- offering the world turnkey appliances with managed services that can facilitate rapid, cost-effective migration and dramatically lower cost of ownership of Microsoft Exchange 2007.

Key points

  • NEW for 2007 is a turnkey Highly Reliable appliance: OneServer for High Reliability (HR). A single 2U server enclosure, this supports Exchange 2007 Mailbox, Client Access, and Hub Transport roles on one machine. It also incorporates ViewXchange Monitoring and Reporting, SecureXchange Management, and ArchiveXchange archiving software to complete the end to end Exchange 2007 solution. You can read more on this by downloading the data sheet now available at http://www.azaleos.com/request_download.html?file=17. OneServer HR for High Reliability incorporates 2xQuad Core Processors, 8GB RAM, and 2 to 6 300GB SAS drives, easily supporting up to 1000 users with 1GB mailboxes once deployed.
  • OneServer is also now available as OneServer Client Access (CA), which supports both the Client Access and Hub Transport roles on a single 2U server unit, and can be grouped in pairs for redundancy and high availability.
  • For those familiar with our highly available appliances for Exchange 2003, we've re-certified these, including BladeMail, for Exchange 2007, supporting Single Copy Cluster capabilities and adding integrated Exchange 2007 Cluster Continuous Replication technologies. That said, high availability in Exchange 2007 requires a minimum of four (4) servers, so this may increase the cost for some folks looking for this solution.
  • And, each one of our OneServers and BladeMail systems supports the newly enhanced ViewXchange monitoring capabilities, allowing you, by installing one of these systems in your network, to rapidly analyze in near real time not only your Exchange servers, but also all of the components Exchange relies upon, including Network Topology, Active Directory Domain Controllers, and your Storage solution --- and to allow us to continue to do the mundane work of monitoring and managing Exchange on your behalf once Exchange 2007 is up and running in your company.

For those seeking a really quick way to get Exchange 2007 up and running in your environment, think about grabbing one of our OneServer HR servers before the first set of units is in short supply. Even if you're an IT department in a larger organization, this gives you a way to run Exchange 2007, kick the tires, and eventually upgrade to either more highly reliable server units, or potentially high high availability Exchange.

As always, comments and thoughts are appreciated!
