But Keith McCall, founder and CTO of Azaleos Corp., a provider of managed e-mail appliances based around Microsoft Exchange, said in a phone interview that Exchange 2007 actually provides fairly powerful outbound message filtering features based around policies and keywords that can be set by an IT manager.
These can "provide the filtering services that 90% of organizations need," he said. More advanced solutions, such as those that interactively edit users' messages as they type them, are overkill, "addressing esoteric needs that do not really apply to the market at this point" McCall said.
