Software Engineer-Back End / SE II

 

Job Summary:

The Back End Software Engineer will work with leading edge development technologies to build critical new features for the Azaleos Appliance product and service line of business. Leverage expertise to rapidly build, fix and release features in a fast-paced collaborative development environment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the team on the object-oriented design of critical new components
  • Write code and unit tests to realize software designs using C# and the Microsoft .NET framework
  • Diagnose and resolve issues in existing products; debug low level interactions between Azaleos software components and the Windows OS
  • Work with quality engineering and the network operations to support the software through its entire lifecycle 

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience developing, maintaining and extending distributed, server-side applications
  • Familiarity/experience with transactions, concurrency, object-relational data access, automation and scalability on either on the Microsoft .NET or Java/J2EE platform
  • Experience with Advanced Windows Server platform, Microsoft Windows Server 2003 clustering
  • Experience building applications that support SQL Server and/or Oracle.
  • Proficiency coding in C#, Java, or C++ 
  • 3 or more years of commercial software development experience
  • 1.5 years in enterprise class, appliance software development is desired
  • BS in computer science or engineering, or equivalent, MS preferred 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with Exchange server and Active Directory
  • Familiarity with systems management APIs (WMI, performance counters, etc) and SNMP
  • Exposure to Agile software development methodologies
  • Exposure to capturing and communicating software design using UML
