Product Marketing Manager Job type: Full Time
Job Detail/Instructions:
The Product Marketing Manager will drive the positioning and promotion of the OneServer and OneStop subscription service product lines as well as be instrumental in strategic product planning and road map development. The role requires exceptional marketing execution and business analysis skills coupled with strong technical depth/acumen and awareness of the enterprise messaging/collaboration market space. In this lead product role, you will become an expert in the solution space and work closely with both engineering and sales to lead and execute on a wide variety of initiatives. The successful candidate will be flexible, assertive, goal-oriented, and demonstrate strong knowledge of the enterprise messaging and managed service provider markets. This is a newly created position that will work closely with all members of the Executive team and provides excellent opportunity for accelerated career advancement. Responsibilities:
- Working closely with customers and Sales team to understand market needs and direction.
- Identify/forecast market shifts and work with Executive team members to help drive the strategic positioning and product vision for the company.
- Capture product priorities and justifications into a Market Requirements Document (MRD) for use by Engineering in planning their development and release programs.
- Create and own product messaging and marketing plans.
- Support the definition of pricing and packaging for Azaleos product lines.
- Develop and implement go-to-market plan and lead company-wide product launch efforts.
- Manage the production of collateral such as white papers, customer presentations, and case studies.
- Interface with key industry press and analysts.
- Advocate products to sales, channel, and at various industry events.
- Conduct market analysis, competitive positioning, and product trends.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolutions skills to achieve results through diplomacy rather than direct authority.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills as well as presentation skills; ability to articulate complex technology simply.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and execution skills.
- Flexible, energetic, self-motivated, team player.
- Three (3) to five (5) years experience marketing enterprise class software or hardware products, of which 2 or more years are in a product management/product marketing role.
Desired Qualifications:
- Product expertise in the enterprise messaging and collaboration market space.
- Direct experience working in the managed service provider space is a strong plus.
- BS in computer science or engineering or equivalent; MBA helpful but not required.
